U-World Yeosu | Laser Arena Victory, Luge & the 5D That Destroyed Us 🎡🔫

Of all the places on our Yeosu trip, this was the one Nyang had been waiting for the most.
U-World.
Nyang loves places where you can run around, play games, ride things, and keep doing “just one more activity” until your legs stop working. ㅎㅎ
So before coming to Yeosu, we booked our tickets in advance through Yanolja.
We chose the Gold Pass.
It was 50,900 KRW per person (about $37.90 USD), so for two people, 101,800 KRW (about $75.80 USD).
When Nyang first saw the total…
🐱 : “Meong… this is a little more expensive than Nyang expected.”
🐶 : “You really wanted to come, so let’s have a good time ㅎㅎ”
And in the end?
We played enough that neither of us felt like the money was wasted.
Why We Chose the Gold Pass

U-World is known for several attractions, including the Roll Glider.
But Meong really does not like heights or scary rides.
The Viking?
Absolutely not.
So instead of choosing a pass that included everything, we picked the Gold Pass without the Roll Glider.
🐱 : “Meong… what about the Roll Glider?”
🐶 : “Nyang… Meong really cannot do that one ㅎㅎ”
A peaceful compromise.
And honestly, there was still more than enough for us to do.

First Impression: Dinosaurs Everywhere 🦖
The first thing that greeted us at U-World was…
dinosaurs.
There were dinosaurs around the entrance, and Nyang immediately entered full amusement-park mode.
🐱 : “Meong!!! Dinosaur!!! Take a picture of Nyang!”
🐶 : “Okay, our excited Nyang, look this way ㅎㅎ”
We put our bags in a locker for 1,000 KRW (about $0.75 USD) so we could move around more easily.
Laser Arena — Nyang’s Greatest Victory 🔫✨

Our first activity was the Laser Arena.
It runs on a reservation system, so we thought it would be smart to check this first.
Luckily, when we arrived, we could start almost immediately.
There were eight players in our game.
We put on vests, grabbed our laser guns, and entered the arena.
Nyang was already far too excited.
🐱 : “Meong, Nyang is going to try really hard!!!”
🐶 : “Our Nyang, go win it ㅎㅎ”
Then the game started.
Nyang ran everywhere.
Left.
Right.
Around corners.
Basically shooting anyone who appeared in front of her.
The fun part was that the player currently in first place had a vest that glowed white.
And during most of the game…
Nyang’s vest kept glowing white.
🐱 : “Meong!!! Nyang thinks Nyang is first!!!”
🐶 : “I knew our Nyang would be good at this ㅎㅎ”
And the final result?
Nyang: 1st place. 🥇
Meong: 7th place.
Nyang was thrilled.
Very thrilled.
🐱 : “Meong!!! Nyang got first place!!!”
🐶 : “Our Nyang did really well ㅎㅎ”
Meong congratulated her sweetly.
But Nyang could almost see something behind him.
A little invisible puppy tail.
Drooping.
Just slightly.
ㅎㅎ
That was the day Nyang became convinced that Meong has an invisible tail.
Happy?
Tail up.
Loses a game?
Tail down.
Very scientific.
Unfortunately, we went to grab a phone and the final score screen disappeared before we could take a photo.
So Nyang’s glorious victory has no photographic evidence.
🐱 : “Nyang really got first place…”
At least Meong saw it.
That counts.
[H2] Luge — Fun, But We Only Rode Twice 🏎️💨

Next came the luge.
We rode it twice.
The ride itself was fun, especially because we could go down together and turn it into a tiny race.
But the waiting time was longer than we expected, so two rounds felt enough.
If you love very intense thrill rides, the luge may feel a little gentle.
But for us, racing each other down the track was plenty fun.
Shooting Battle — Meong’s Revenge 🎯
We loved Laser Arena so much that we booked another round for about 30 minutes later.
While waiting, we tried the shooting range nearby.

One handgun game.
One rifle game.
And naturally…
it became another competition.
🐱 : “Meong, Nyang is winning this time!”
🐶 : “You can do it ㅎㅎ”
First: handgun.
Meong wins.
🐱 : “…It’s okay. Nyang still has the rifle.”
Then: rifle.
Meong wins again.
ㅎㅎ
🐱 : “Meong… why are you so good at shooting?”
🐶 : “It’s more fun because I’m doing it with Nyang ㅎㅎ”
Laser Arena belonged to Nyang.
Shooting belonged to Meong.
One victory each.
Relationship balance restored.
Invisible tail?
Very much up.
Teddy Bear Museum — Much Better Than We Expected 🧸💛

We still had some time before our second Laser Arena reservation, so we went into the Teddy Bear Museum.
Honestly, we did not expect much.
Neither of us usually goes out of our way to visit exhibitions.
But this one was surprisingly fun.
There were teddy bears everywhere, lots of cute displays, and plenty of places to take photos.
It felt less like:
“Please quietly observe the exhibition.”
and more like:
“Look! Another cute photo spot!”
Which suited us much better. ㅎㅎ
🐱 : “Meong, photo here too!!!”
And then another photo.
And another.
Even Nyang, who normally does not get excited about exhibitions, really enjoyed it.
If you visit U-World as a couple, this is one place we would actually recommend stopping by.
Laser Arena Round Two — Meong & Nyang vs. Dad & Son 🔥
Then it was time for round two.
This time there were only four players.
So the teams became:
Meong + Nyang
vs.
a father + his elementary-school-aged son we had never met before
A very serious battle.
ㅎㅎ
The little boy was running around with so much determination that he was honestly adorable.
🐱 : “Meong, the other team is trying really hard!”
🐶 : “Then we have to work together ㅎㅎ”
And after all that running…
Meong and Nyang won.
Yes.
Two adults defeated an elementary-school student.
And yes.
We were happy about it.
A proud moment.
ㅎㅎ
The first game had been fun as an individual competition.
The second was fun in a completely different way because we played as a team.
For Nyang, Laser Arena was easily one of the best parts of U-World.
If we went again, this would be the first thing she would book.
And Then Came the 5D… 💫

At this point, we were still planning to keep playing.
Then Nyang said:
🐱 : “Meong, let’s just try this one too!”
That one thing was 5D.
We entered casually.
A few minutes later…
both of us were completely KO.
ㅎㅎ
The screen moved.
The chair moved.
Our vision moved.
Everything moved.
Nyang does not usually get severe motion sickness.
But this?
This was rough.
And Meong normally gets motion sick much more easily, so he was completely exhausted afterward.
🐱 : “Meong, are you okay…?”
🐶 : “Is Nyang okay first?”
He was feeling terrible himself and still asked about Nyang first.
That is very Meong.
🐱 : “Nyang is officially angry at 5D for hurting Meong!”
ㅎㅎ
At first we wondered if maybe we were just unusually sensitive.
Then we got into the elevator.
Another family was talking about the same ride.
Students.
Parents.
Everyone saying things like:
“That was so hard.”
“I thought I was going to die.”
Nyang immediately looked at Meong.
🐱 : “Meong!!! It wasn’t just us!!!”
For some reason, that made us feel much better.
And also made us laugh.
So our personal recommendation is simple:
If you get motion sick easily, be careful with the 5D.
Maybe even save it for last.
Because…
it may actually become your last ride of the day.
Just like it did for us. ㅎㅎ
Was U-World Worth It?
In the end, we left earlier than planned because of the 5D.
Meong especially felt the motion sickness for quite a while afterward.
But when we looked back at the day, we had actually done a lot.
Laser Arena twice.
Luge twice.
Handgun shooting.
Rifle shooting.
Teddy Bear Museum.
5D.
And plenty of photos in between.
So even though 101,800 KRW (about $75.80 USD) for two initially felt a little expensive, we were satisfied with how much we enjoyed the day.
Nyang’s favorites were easy:
No. 1 — Laser Arena
Unexpected favorite — Teddy Bear Museum
5D?
We can remain friends from a distance.
ㅎㅎ
🐱 : “Meong, if we come back, let’s do Laser Arena again!”
🐶 : “If our Nyang wants to, of course ㅎㅎ”
🐱 : “And 5D?”
🐶 : “Let’s go find something else fun together ㅎㅎ”
Nyang agrees.
5D…
we had a beautiful time apart.
Next Stop: An Unexpected Plan B 🎲☕
Because we left U-World earlier than expected, we suddenly had an awkward gap before dinner.
And Meong definitely needed somewhere to sit down and recover.
That is how an unplanned stop became our next destination:
Plan B.
A pretty café.
Board games.
Tea.
Cookies.
And, naturally, another Meong vs. Nyang competition.
